Tripathi’s detailed accounts of battles keep the reader on the edge of their seat. In order to give the stories a sense of authenticity and depth, the author also incorporates themes of Hindu mythology across the entire series. Shiva exhibits amazing personal development over the entire series. He is irritable, stubborn, and frequently uncertain of his own abilities, which makes him relatable and endearing.
The most distinctive aspect of this book is how Tripathi presents Shiva as imperfect, human-like, and possessing a complex personality, in contrast to the traditional representations of gods in Hindu mythology. This is like the whole package because it features romance, action, fantastic characters, and an engaging plot. This is one of my favourite books on Indian mythology. The trilogy concludes with a commentary on the plot’s themes, which include the nature of good and evil, the value of compassion and empathy, and the strength of love and friendship. Shiva, however, is forced to choose between his allegiance to his friends and his responsibility as the Neelkanth as the nature of Meluha’s real opponent becomes clear.įinally, Shiva found a nonviolent way to overcome the Nagas rather than resorting to violence. Shiva must mediate an end to the conflict between the Suryavanshis and Chandravanshis since the Vayuputras, a strong and mysterious tribe, have become a new force. The story comes to a spectacular conclusion in the final book as Shiva and his allies get ready to take on their biggest challenge yet. The novel concludes on a cliffhanger, with Shiva discovering the truth about the Nagas and embarking on a mission to find their leader. He falls in love with Sati, the daughter of the Meluhan king Daksha, and becomes involved in a political plot involving the Nagas, a tribe thought to be responsible for the demise of the Suryavanshi dynasty.
