    Reallly impressed me even with the bittersweet ending. It is a great book club book, but the children will fall into the love or hate category with it. It is sad (I cried), it elicits anger and incredulity at the abandonment of Aubrey and it is compelling because you can tell this is a grounded, good kid who will survive.
